The game Subnautica is freely available on the Epic Games Store.

So the description right now doesn’t sound all that appealing, but trust us. Get it forever if you add it before the 27th of December. But Subnautica is less than a year old, which means there’s a sizeable audience that’s never played it and might want to take advantage of Epic’s generosity. Subnautica is a game about underwater exploration, survival, and other things. Return to Earth destroyed by an ecological disaster, fly a high-tech airship, expand, rebuild and. Developed by Unknown Worlds Entertainment, Subnautica is a first-person open-world survival game. Forever Skies is a first-person action survival game. Similar to how Humble was giving away Full Throttle Remastered. It’s been kicking around since 2010 and was involved in at least one Humble Bundle. From now until December 27, 2018, you can pick up Subnautica on the Epic Games store for free. These things are usually free forever as long as you go through the steps to claim the game. Super Meat Boy is the next game up, which isn’t quite as attractive a deal.

On its own it’s probably not enough to get you to start actively using the Epic Games launcher, but I’ll be curious to see how this program evolves over the next year and how many more Subnautica-quality giveaways we see-you know, games that are new(ish) and expensive(ish) normally. From there it’s accessible in the Epic Games launcher. All you have to do is create an Epic Games Store account (or dig up your Fortnite/Unreal Engine credentials) and then head to Subnautica’s store page. Click the orange Free button, place the order, and you’re done.
Epic games subnautica free forever for free#
So yeah, Subnautica’s a game I’d recommend picking up at its full $25 price, and Epic’s going to give you a copy for free instead-at least, as long as you pick it up before December 27. This game contains ashing lights that may make it unsuitable for people with photosensitive epilepsy or other photosensitive conditions.
